Like many writers (I don’t use the word aspiring – you are a writer if you write), unfortunately, I still have to work to pay the bills. With work, family and other commitments, I find that my spare time to be very compressed.

I kept complaining about a lack of time to write, which was when Benedict suggested my Twitter Fiction project, where I have been writing a story piecemeal on Twitter. It’s been a highly successful venture, and while it has taken me a long time, it has allowed me to continue to write and now at the finishing stages my third book.

What strategies have or do you employ to deal with the excuse of “I don’t have time to do x?” The question applies to anyone who has a creative passion but has to pay the bills with a day job 🙂
